Here are some of our poems.
The Tunnel
The tunnel laughs when children climb over it.
It moans when the rain starts to pour.
The rain stops - it’s happy again.
The tunnel loves hearing children whispering secrets that no one will ever hear.
Its night time - the tunnel gets lonely and it’s sad again.

Grass
The bushy grass feels joyful when it softens somebody’s fall.
It feels dead when a bird digs a hole to find worms.
Grass is sad and lonely when some of its family gets mowed over.
Grass is happy when it gets water to drink from the rain.
It feels squished when kids stand on it on their way out to play.
The grass begins to droop when it gets scorching hot.

Puddle
When the puddle hears someone coming he hopes they don’t step on him.
When it pours down with rain the puddle gets excited because it wants to get bigger.
When the puddle smells hot salty chips it licks its lips.
The people splash in the puddle so it wets them and they have to change their clothes.
The puddle is so sad because its best friend dried up.

The Rain
The Rain makes a tune when it bangs onto the ground.
It moans when the sun comes out and they make a rainbow together.
The rain loves to give everything a great clean.
It loves to wet my hair when I go outside.
The Rain builds circles when it drops into a puddle.
It feels relaxed when it trickles down the slide.
The Rain slowly dies when it falls into a fire.
The Rain feels excited when it runs down the pole like a water slide.
It feels happy when it soaks in the ground.
By Marisa
The leaves wave at us when they see us inside.
They get hurt when the wind blows them from their home.
The leaves are sad when they see their friends still in the tree.
The leaves moan when they get stepped on.
They get sick and die.
